Job Description

Cornell University is inviting applicants for a Research Associate position in Observational Cosmology within the Center for Astrophysics and Planetary Science. Starting in the summer of 2018. The position requires a Ph.D.  and experience in Astrophysics or a related field with a strong background in cosmology, and additional expertise with data analysis or numerical simulations is preferred. This position is initially a one year appointment with subsequent renewals depending on performance and the availability of funding of up to an additional two years.

The Cornell Observational Cosmology group currently consists of Professor Nicholas Battaglia, Professor Rachel Bean, and Professor Mike Niemack. The successful candidate would also have the opportunity to participate in the ongoing CMB experiment the Advanced Atacama Cosmology Telescope and future CCAT-Prime and the Simons Observatory. The successful candidate will report to Professor Nicholas Battaglia.
