Lectureship/Senior Lectureship in Pulsar Astrophysics
Salary range GBP 29,138 - GBP 49,607 per annum
The University seeks to appoint a new member of staff to work in the area of
pulsar astrophysics to strengthen and develop the research of the Pulsar Group
of the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics. You will be expected to take a
pro-active role in the continuing development of the world class programme of
research using pulsars for a wide variety of applications linking astronomy
and astrophysics with fundamental physics. In addition, you should possess the
ability to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will have a
strong research record and will be expected to demonstrate the ability to
attract external funding. You will have experience in the observational and
instrumental aspects of pulsar astrophysics and will show the commitment in
the development and exploitation of future radio-astronomical facilities.
