Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research associate position working with Prof. W.N. Brandt and collaborators. The successful applicant will conduct observational studies of active galaxies found in deep-field and wide-field sky surveys using data from Chandra, XMM-Newton, NuSTAR, HST, SDSS, WISE, ALMA, and other forefront facilities. Research duties will involve the analysis of active galaxy spectral/variability data, the publication of scientific results, and the planning/implementation of new observing programs.
A Ph.D. is required, and experience with active-galaxy or cosmic-surveys research would be an advantage. The position is for one year initially with the intended extension of additional years. The position could start as early as July 2013 (the starting date has some flexibility).
