The Centro de Radioastronomia y Astrofisica (CRyA) of the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) invites applications for 2 tenure track positions in astrophysics. Applicants should hold a PhD in astrophysics or a related discipline, and have held a postdoctoral position for a minimum of two years. This research experience must include at least 2 years outside of Mexico. The CRyA has strong research groups in radio astronomy and star formation, but candidates from all fields of astrophysics will be considered.
The successful candidates are expected to carry out original research, collaborating with other faculty and students. They will also have to teach, mainly graduate astronomy courses, and so proficiency in English and/or Spanish is required. The main selection criteria will be outstanding research accomplishments and promise of future achievement. The level of each appointment will depend on the curriculum of the candidate.
