Postdoctoral Positions in Cosmology at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) invites applications for several postdoctoral positions in its cosmology program, to begin in Fall 2013. LBNL has a rich cosmology program that spans the full range from observations to analysis, simulation, and theory. LBNL is involved in several ongoing cosmology projects including BOSS, DES, Planck, Supernova Cosmology Project, Palomar Transient Factory, and Nearby Supernova Factory, as well as planning for BigBOSS, Euclid and LSST. See http://www.lbl.gov/LBL-Programs/physics/ for more information regarding the LBNL Physics Division.

We benefit from close associations with the LBNL Center for Computational Cosmology (CCC), the Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics (BCCP), Space Science Lab (SSL) and the UC Berkeley Physics and Astronomy Departments. We have access to the resources of Lick and Keck Observatories through the University of California. More details about the Berkeley cosmology program can be found at http://bccp.berkeley.edu and http://cosmology.lbl.gov. Scientists with interests in supernovae, large scale structure, simulation and data analysis techniques are especially encouraged to apply.

The position(s) will be awarded initially for 2 years with the possibility of extension. Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. or expect to receive their Ph.D. by September 2013. To assure full consideration, apply by December 1, 2012.
