Scuola Normale Superiore (SNS) in Pisa invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the field of astrophysical cosmology. The postdoc will work in conjunction with Prof. Andrei Mesinger, as part of the recently-established and expanding Cosmology group at SNS.
The successful candidate can work on problems relating to the cosmic dark ages, reionization, first stars, first galaxies, the intergalactic medium, modeling techniques, high-redshift quasar spectra, the redshifted 21cm signal and other probes of the early Universe. Experience with statistical analysis and numerical modeling is particularly encouraged, but not required.
The successful candidate will have access to state-of-the-art computing facilities, and a 3D visualization center.
