New York University Abu Dhabi has a number of openings for Postdoctoral Fellows in Astrophysics. These positions are offered for a period of 3 years starting September 2013. Competitive salary and benefits, including relocation, housing, and education of children, are offered.
In particular, postdoctoral positions with Prof. Joseph Gelfand in the area of high-energy astrophysics are available. Candidates with interest and experience in the observational or theoretical study of neutron stars, pulsar wind nebulae, supernova remnants, and/or transient sources are strongly encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be encouraged to develop independent projects in addition to supporting Prof. Gelfand's research. Candidates must hold, or be in the process of completing, a Ph.D. degree in Astronomy, Physics, Astrophysics or a related subject and have demonstrated a strong research background.
