As the Chief of CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science, you will lead 280 staff and be responsible for a world-class national research facility for radio astronomy that includes three existing radio telescopes, as well as the 36-dish Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder which will start sky surveys in 2013 and contribute to the first phase of the Square Kilometre Array in Australia.
You will bring to the role an international research reputation in relevant areas of astronomy or space science research combined with the ability to work effectively at senior leadership level and manage productive research relationships with stakeholders nationally and internationally.
