The Center for Astrophysics and Space Sciences (CASS, http://casswww.ucsd.edu) at the University of California, San Diego invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar position to work with Dr. Dusan Keres on numerical models of formation and evolution of galaxies and circum-galactic medium.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Astronomy/Astrophysics, Physics or related fields before the start date (summer or fall 2013). Candidates should have a proven research record. Previous experience in theoretical modeling and computational astrophysics as well as strong programming skills are highly desirable. The appointment will be for two years initially, with expectation of renewal for a third year based on satisfactory performance and the availability of funding. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
