The Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a one year temporary instructional faculty member.  This position could start as early as 1 June 2013, but in no case later than 15 August 2013.  This position will run at least through 15 August 2014. Duties will include responsibilities for sections of introductory general education courses delivered in both traditional lecture and on-line formats.  Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Astronomy or Physics. Some experience in teaching introductory level courses is highly desirable. The selected candidate is invited to participate in the vibrant research and outreach atmosphere in the department.
