The Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics (KIAA) at Peking University invites applications for a postdoctoral research position focused on studies of young stars, star formation, exoplanets, or related fields. The successful applicant will be expected to work on projects of mutual interest with Dr. Gregory Herczeg and to pursue an independent research program.
Peking University is one of the premier universities in Asia and is host to the KIAA, where English is the working language. The postdoctoral researcher will be provided a research and travel budget. The appointment will be for two years. Possible start dates are April, July, and October, 2013, by which point the applicant should have obtained a PhD in astronomy, physics, or a related field. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, list of publications, a 1-2 page statement of current and future research interests, and arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent directly via email.
