James Madison University invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position beginning the 2013-2014 academic year in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the rank of Assistant Professor. The appointment is for two years.

The successful candidate will teach introductory physics or physical science for non-science majors. Additional duties may include conducting general physics or introductory electronics laboratories.
We seek candidates with an earned PhD in astronomy or physics and a demonstrated interest and ability in teaching courses relevant to the position is required.
