Job Announcement Text:

Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research position at the University of California Davis. The successful applicant will work with Prof. Marusa Bradac on  z>~7 galaxies and their role in reionizing the Universe, in connection with the large approved Spitzer dataset. Available resources also include HST, Keck, Subaru and VLT data. Previous experience in analysis of Spitzer/IRAC data is considered a plus, but not necessary. A fraction of the successful candidate's time is expected to be devoted to independent research. The appointee will have access to the facilities of the Keck Observatories for such research. The appointment is for two years; renewal for a third year is subject to performance and availability of funds. The UCDavis physics department hosts a strong research program in astrophysics and cosmology and provides a stimulating environment.

The appointment is expected to start March 1 2013 or on or before September 1 2013 and requires the completion of a PhD by that date. Applicants should submit a statement of research interests, publication list, CV, and should arrange for three letters of reference to be sent. E-mail submission to marusa@physics.ucdavis.edu is preferred. Full consideration will be given to applications received by January 5 2013. The University of California is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer committed to excellence through diversity.
