Research Professorship in Dark Energy Related Sciences
The School of Physics of Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) invites applicants for a research professor position in cosmology focusing on the dark energy theories. Applicants should have demonstrated an outstanding record of research. Research leadership and future research potential will also be considered in the evaluation of candidates.
The initial appointment is for two years with the possibility of renewal for three additional years. The appointment may start anytime after March 1, 2013. The starting salary is 60M Korean won (approximately 54,000 USD), and there is additional support for retirement annuity and insurance. The position is provided with annual research grants of 20M KRW per year. The research professor can hire one research fellow who will be supported by KIAS. There is no teaching duty.
