Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) invites researchers to several postdoctoral positions including theoretical astrophysics, observational astronomy, space science, and space geodesy. Successful applicants are expected to conduct original researches independently or in collaboration with the KASI faculty.
The appointment is initially for two years and can be renewed by contingent on each satisfactory performance every year, while there are other opportunities for excellent postdocs to be transferred to the KASI Fellow, which is renewable every three years.
The starting annual salary is approximately USD 30,000 (KRW 34,000,000 before taxes). In addition, one way airfare to join the KASI will be reimbursed. Also, Attending conferences or travels for observation will be supported in accordance with the institutional travel expense regulations. Other benefits such as national health insurance covering and dormitory space for basically single persons (might be shared) will be provided.
Applicants should submit a full CV (resume), a list of publications, a research plan, and two letters of recommendation signed by recommenders, as well as your final doctoral degree certificate.
Successful applicants should be able to join the KASI by July, 2013.
