Applications are invited for a two-year postdoctoral position in the study of galaxy formation and evolution at the Department of Earth and Space Sciences, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.
The successful candidate will join the research group of Dr. Kirsten Kraiberg Knudsen. He/she will participate in projects of galaxy formation and evolution with focus on radio, millimeter and/or submillimeter wavelengths observations of high redshift starburst galaxies with instruments such as ALMA, JVLA, APEX, and IRAM PdBI. The starting data is flexible, though preferably around Summer 2013. The successful applicant will work mainly at Onsala Space Observatory, where Chalmers hosts the Swedish National Facility for Radio Astronomy which is also the location of the Nordic ALMA Regional Center Node.
Interested applicants should have a PhD in astronomy by the start of the appointment. Experience with radio / mm observations as well as with the topic of galaxy formation and evolution would be an asset.
