Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the Infrared Interferometry Department of the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy in Bonn (http://www3.mpifr-bonn.mpg.de/div/ir-interferometry/). Preference will be given to applicants with experience in one of the following areas: young stellar objects, active galactic nuclei, radiative transfer modeling or infrared interferometry.
Successful applicants will be expected to participate in interferometric observations and their interpretations. The position offers excellent opportunities for high-resolution studies using the VLT Interferometer. Because our group is a member of the international LBT consortium, we own LBT guaranteed observing time.
The appointment will be for the period of December 1, 2013 to February 28, 2015. Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a list of publications and a brief description of research interests and arrange for two letters of recommendation to be emailed to email@example.com. The review of applications will begin on November 1, 2013 and will continue until the position is filled. The Max-Planck Society is an equal opportunity employer and aims to employ more disabled people. Applications from disabled persons are therefore particularly welcome.
