Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in Extragalactic Astronomy at Georgia State University.  The candidate will work with Professor Misty Bentz’s group on black hole mass determinations, distance measurements to host galaxies, black hole scaling relationships, host galaxy characteristics, and other related projects. 

The position is initially for two years, with a possible extension for a third year subject to a performance review.  To be considered for the position, please send the following application materials to 1) curriculum vitae, 2) list of publications, 3) summary of previous and current research (no more than 3 pages including references), 4) statement of research plans (no more than 3 pages of text + 2 pages for figures and references), and 5) arrange for three letters of reference to be submitted on your behalf.  To receive full consideration, all application materials must be received by 1 December 2013.  The start date for the position is nominally 15 August 2014, but may begin as early as 1 June.
