The AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellowships® provides astronomists the opportunity to learn first-hand about the intersection of science and policy. Fellows serve yearlong assignments in congressional offices and federal agencies (NIH, USAID, DoE, etc) in the Washington, D.C. region.
For more than 40 years, scientists, social scientists, and engineers have applied their knowledge and technical expertise to policy-making while developing valuable career-enhancing skills. -Doctoral-level degree (PhD, MD, DVM, DSc, etc.) in any scientific, social science or engineering discipline OR
-Master’s in engineering with 3 years of professional engineering experience
