Applications are sought for a faculty position in astrophysics at Texas Tech University. It is expected that the position will be filled at the assistant professor level, but an appointment at a higher rank may be considered under exceptional circumstances. The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong track record as a researcher demonstrating the capability to establish a high profile program of research; potential to interact productively with current astrophysics faculty, while also expanding the areas of research conducted in the department; and potential for establishing an externally funded research program. The candidate will also be expected to conduct high quality teaching and to engage in service to the university.
