We invite applications for a postdoctoral position in astrophysics at the
Department of Physics & Astronomy, University of Waterloo and Perimeter Institute
for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. We are seeking an observational astrophysicist with a strong interest in theory to work on problems with energetic feedback from massive black holes in galaxies and clusters of galaxies. The position is with Prof. Brian McNamara and colleagues at the Perimeter Institute. Ongoing observational work at Waterloo includes programs with the Chandra X-ray Observatory, ALMA, HST, and the ASTRO-H observatories. Several Perimeter Institute faculty and postdoctoral fellows work on analytical and computational problems concerning black holes and accretion disks. The duration of the position is two years but may be extended to three, contingent upon funding. Interested candidates should send a vita, bibliography, a one page research summary, and arrange for three letters of reference to be sent to Judy McDonnell at email@example.com. Please include "Feedback Postdoc: your name" in the subject line.
