The Observatories of The Carnegie Institution for Science in Pasadena, California invites applications for a postdoctoral associate position in Galactic astrophysics to begin September 1, 2014. The postdoc will work with Dr. Juna A. Kollmeier on Milky Way structure/formation and "near-field" cosmology using RR Lyrae stars. Previous experience with statistical analysis and modeling as well as facility with space-based datasets (particularly optical and IR) is desirable.
