The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Leeds invites applications for four STFC-funded postdoctoral research fellow positions in star formation. The posts are in the following areas:
1. Non-ideal MHD effects in the evolution of shocks, filaments and cores and the formation of proto-planetary discs with Profs Falle and Hartquist (Reference number MAPPA0045)
2. Stellar feedback within and from massive star forming regions due to stellar radiation, stellar winds and supernovae with Dr Pittard and Profs Hartquist and Falle (MAPPA0046)
3. High spatial and spectral resolution near- and mid-infrared studies of massive young stellar objects (MYSOs) with Prof Oudmaijer, Dr Lumsden and Prof Hoare (MAPPA0047)
4. High resolution radio and (sub-)millimetre observations of jets and winds from massive young stellar objects with Prof Hoare, Dr Lumsden and Prof Oudmaijer (MAPPA0048)
You will have (or be about to obtain) a PhD in Astrophysics, or a related discipline.
The starting date will be by arrangement but will be 1 April 2014 at the earliest.
Further details of each of these posts and how to apply can be found by going to www.leeds.ac.uk/info/20025/university_jobs and looking up the appropriate job reference number.
