Postdoctoral Position on LSST at Purdue University
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in astrophysics at Purdue University. Purdue is an institutional member of the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) Corporation and plays significant roles in the LSST project. The successful candidate will be expected to actively participate in the activities of the LSST Dark Energy Science Collaboration, specifically in the investigation of systematic effects that might affect weak lensing measurements, in addition to pursue other scientific interests of his or hers. Preference will be given to those that have had experience in cosmic shear or cluster lensing studies or in optical surveys.
The duration of this position is two years, with the possibility of renewal for an additional year contingent upon satisfactory progress and continued funding. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in physics or astronomy.
