The Department of Physics & Astronomy at Notre Dame University–Louaize (NDU) in Lebanon invites applications for one full-time faculty position in Physics at the Assistant Professor level starting late September 2014. Candidates should have a PhD in Physics with preference limited to those in the fields of either astrophysics or atmospherics physics. Astrophysics candidates must specifically have projects to use small telescopes. Atmospheric Physics candidates must be specialized in meteorology and climate modeling. Previous teaching and/or post-doctoral experience is a plus. Successful applicant is expected to teach mostly undergraduate and service courses in physics and astrophysics, teach graduate astrophysics courses, and engage in research that can involve graduate students and undergraduates, and participate in the academic/social life of the University. The successful atmospheric physics applicant is expected to start a research program in atmospheric physics at NDU of service to the country.
