Postdoctoral Research Associate, Astrochemistry
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Virginia invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate, to perform research in the field of astrochemistry with Professor Eric Herbst.
This is a one-year appointment; however, the appointment may be renewed for an additional two one-year terms, contingent upon available funding and satisfactory performance.
The completion of all the requirements for a Ph.D. degree in chemistry, astronomy, or a related discipline by the appointment start date is required. Candidates should have some experience in astrochemistry, or wish to learn astrochemical methods in order to supplement their knowledge of a closely allied field such as molecular observations or analysis of observational data. Candidates will be expected to assist with training of both graduate and undergraduate students.
