The Centro de Radioastronomia y Astrofisica (CRyA) of the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) invites applications for 2 tenure track positions in astrophysics. One appointment will be at a junior level, the second appointment can be at junior or senior level.  The start dates for both appointments can be anytime during 2014.

Applicants for either position should hold a PhD in astrophysics or a related discipline, and have held a postdoctoral position for a minimum of two years. This research experience must include at least 2 years outside of Mexico. Candidates from all fields of astrophysics will be considered.

The successful candidates are expected to carry out original research, collaborating with current research staff (18 faculty; 6 postdocs) and postgraduate students. They will also have to teach, mainly graduate astronomy courses, and so proficiency in English and/or Spanish is required. The main selection criteria will be outstanding research accomplishments and promise of future achievement. The level of each appointment will depend on the curriculum vitae of the candidate.

Candidates must send a complete curriculum vitae including a full list of publications, as well as a statement of previous experience and current and future professional interests, and arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent to the Academic Secretary at the CRyA by 31st March 2014.
