The Faculty of Science of the University of Zurich invites applications for a

Professor of Theoretical Astrophysics and Cosmology

The new professor is expected to establish and lead a successful group pursuing vigorous research in astrophysics and/or cosmology. The successful applicant will find a stimulating environment in computational astrophysics, planetary science, general relativity, particle and astroparticle physics. The position will be filled preferentially at the assistant professor (tenure-track) level. Applications from outstanding senior candidates will also be considered for appointment at a higher level.

In teaching at both undergraduate and graduate level the new professor will stimulate the interest of the students within the subject areas of physics, computational science, astrophysics and cosmology. Undergraduate teaching language is German or English, graduate education is in English.
