  • 3D computer modeling of solar phenomena.
  • Acquisition and analysis of observational data (spectropolarimetry, helioseismology, Sun-Earth connection).
  • Instrument development.

Special attention will be given to candidates with experience in computer modelling of solar physics phenomena, Sun-Earth connection or Helioseismology techniques (global and/or local).
The successful candidates will be based at the IAC's headquarters in La Laguna, in a stimulating and keen working environment, with access to all telescopic and supercomputing facilities in the Canary Islands.
Doctorate: The candidate must hold a PhD in Astrophysics by the submission deadline (31st July 2014).
