The WVU Research Corporation (WVURC) invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in the Center for Gravitational Waves and Cosmology (GWAC) at West Virginia University (WVU). The newly formed Center is a rapidly growing research collaboration currently consisting of nine faculty members, four postdoctoral fellows, and 20 graduate students. The Center spans the departments of Physics and Astronomy, Mathematics, and Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, as well as adjunct members from the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, WV. Applications are invited for a 2-year position to work on Fast Radio Burst observations, data acquisition and interpretation using the Arecibo and Green Bank radio telescopes as part of a recently funded NSF award. A PhD in Astronomy, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines is required. A third year may be possible, and is contingent on available funding and performance of the applicant.
