The Exoplanetary Science at UNSW group within the School of Physics at the University of New South Wales invites applications for an Australian Research Council-funded postdoctoral research associate in exoplanet detection using precision Doppler spectroscopy. The Research Associate will work with Prof. Chris Tinney to develop a data analysis system for use with the new Veloce precision Doppler instrument at the Anglo-Australian Telescope, and then utilise that system and Veloce to study transiting exoplanets detected by NASA’s TESS and K2 missions. The successful candidate will have experience in exoplanetary science, data processing, and a grounding in the techniques of precision Doppler spectroscopy.
