The appointment is for two years, renewable for a third year based on satisfactory performance. While resident at Universidad Catolica, the appointee will qualify as a member of the Chilean community and be eligible to propose for observing time on all telescopes in Chile, including existing radio observatories and ALMA as it becomes available. We encourage applicants with experience and interest in millimeter and/or submillimeter radio astronomy. The position includes annual travel funds for collaborations and observations. Candidates will be reviewed and selected by a joint committee based on responses to this advertisement.

The successful applicant must have completed the requirements for the Ph.D. degree prior to arrival.
