The position will have a particular focus on weak gravitational lensing, galaxy clustering, and cross-correlations as probes of dark energy, modified gravity, neutrino mass, primordial non-Gaussianity, and other extensions to the standard cosmological model.
The Euclid space telescope is expected to launch in 2023, with a first major internal data release in 2024 and first science papers planned for 2025, aligning well with the timeline of this 3-year position. The successful applicant will be expected to join the Euclid Consortium.
