Background
Earth Resources Technology (ERT) Seeks a Program Manager to Lead a science support contract at NASA. ERT is a science and technology company that provides its clients with innovative services and solutions to their scientific, engineering, environmental, and information technology challenges. Headquartered in Laurel, Maryland, ERT boasts a nationwide presence, a staff of 350+ experienced professionals, and a proud 25-year history.
Position Description
Will lead the development of task planning and resource allocation. Will review and monitor contract technical work for overall quality, efficiency, and timeliness. Will escalate requests to senior management for access to corporate resources not in his/her direct control. Tracks and reports project status, activities, problems, and financials to government Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Contracting Officer (CO). Will ensure staff nurturing, training, professional development, morale, and retention. Work with ERT Human Resources (HR) to recruit, interview, train, and retain staff. Evaluate staff and resolve personnel issues. Meet regularly with NASA customers to understand strategic direction and provide innovative solutions.
Required Skills
10+ years of government contract Project Management experience. Demonstrated an ability to organize and lead teams. Must be customer oriented, highly organized, and analytical. Must have demonstrated an ability to motivate and lead others. Experience managing a team comprised of a staff with 50+ scientists, engineers, and IT professionals. Must have successfully completed project management training.
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident and be able to pass a background investigation to obtain a security badge to enter the applicable government facility.
Education
MS in Space or Earth Sciences, related degree, or equivalent. PhD preferred.
