About the Role
We invite applications for the position of Postdoctoral Research Assistant on the STFC funded project “Planet Formation and Migration in Inviscid Protoplanetary Discs”, which is led by Prof. Richard Nelson and Dr. Sijme-Jan Paardekooper. The research will use hydrodynamical and/or magnetohydrodynamical simulations of protoplanetary discs with embedded planets to address a variety of open questions in the theory of planet formation.
The successful applicant will possess a PhD in Astrophysics (awarded or close to completion) or a closely related discipline and will preferably have experience of working on research projects that are closely related to those outlined above. Research experience in performing hydrodynamical simulations is essential to the role.
