Job Announcement Text:

The Cosmology Group at the University of California, Davis invites applications for postdoctoral research in astrophysics. The successful candidate will pursue independent research in collaboration with Professor Andrew Wetzel on theoretical/computational modeling of galaxy formation, with preference for the areas of near-field cosmology, galactic archaeology, the Milky Way and the Local Group, and/or dwarf galaxies. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in astrophysics or related field by the start date.

The postdoc will have access to computing facilities at UC Davis and multiple large allocations on NSF and NASA supercomputing facilities, as well as state-of-the-art FIRE simulations including the Latte simulation suite of Milky Way-mass galaxies. UC Davis is a full institutional member of LSST, with access to Keck and Lick Observatories.
