Job Description

The Institute for Gravitation and the Cosmos is seeking to fill one or more Postdoctoral Scholar positions in theory, computation, and data analysis for multi-messenger astrophysics. 

The successful candidate will work with faculty members at the Institute to develop models of the multi-messenger emission from compact binary mergers, core-collapse supernovae, or tidal disruption events and/or incorporate such models into parameter estimation pipelines. A Ph.D. in physics or astronomy is required. This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding on a yearly basis for up to three years. The appointment will start in fall 2022. The exact starting date can be flexible.
