The successful applicant will primarily work with ALMA and VLA observations of z~2-3 lensed galaxies with some multi-band archival HST data. Experience working with gravitational lens modelling, radio/millimeter interferometric data, and/or HST observations are desirable, but not required.
The approximate start date is August 2020. Applicants should have a PhD in physics, astronomy, or related subject by the start of the appointment. The successful candidate will receive relocation expenses, health insurance, and a generous travel allowance.
Yale-NUS College is a small undergraduate-only liberal arts college in Singapore, jointly founded by Yale University and the National University of Singapore (NUS). Candidates interested in teaching-focussed careers and supervising undergraduate research with a diverse student population are strongly encouraged to apply. For more information about the College, please visit https://www.yale-nus.edu.sg
Applications will be considered starting March 1st, but later applications will be accepted. Interested applicants should email a combined PDF to Prof. Sharon (email@example.com) including "Postdoc application" and your name in the subject line. The application should include a cover letter, CV, and a summary of past/planned research. The CV should include a complete list of publications and contact information for three references (letters of recommendation will be requested later). Instead of customizing an existing 2-4 page research statement, please focus your efforts on a 1-2 page cover letter that briefly summarizes your research interests, any skills relevant to this position, and how being at a small undergraduate college in Southeast Asia fits with your research and career plans. Please reach out to Prof. Sharon with any questions.
