This project is funded by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) through an SFI Starting Investigator Research Grant and will involve the use of IR interferometric data from VLTI-GRAVITY and -MATISSE, on the ESO Very Large Telescope (VLT).The data pool obtained will also serve to develop a statistical imaging reconstruction method for geo-stationary satellite imaging.

The student will join a vibrant group working with JWST, near-infrared and radio interferometry and with a strong background in astrophysical simulations. He/she is expected to register in Trinity College Dublin and will be co-supervised by Professor Tom Ray and Dr. Rebeca Garcia Lopez.
