Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position at Texas Tech University working with Prof. David Sand, Dr. Denija Crnojevic and collaborators on the general topics of nearby galaxies, resolved stellar populations and near-field cosmology.
The successful candidate will help lead large, ongoing projects primarily focused on photometric studies of dwarf galaxies, stellar halos and globular clusters around the Milky Way and nearby galaxies. Inquiries about the position are encouraged ([email protected]).
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in astronomy, physics or a related subject by the appointment start date. The initial position will be for two years, renewable for a third upon mutual agreement. The nominal starting date is Fall 2017; an earlier start date is possible.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, publication list and a brief statement of research interests. Three letters of reference should also be emailed directly to: [email protected]. Review of application materials will begin Feb 1, 2017. Texas Tech is committed to affirmative action, equal opportunity and the diversity of its workforce.
