Job Description

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research position at the Department of Astronomy/Steward Observatory at the University of Arizona.

The successful candidate will help lead large, ongoing projects primarily focused on photometric and spectroscopic studies of dwarf galaxies, stellar halos and globular clusters around the Milky Way and nearby galaxies. These programs utilize deep imaging from wide-field ground-based cameras, Hubble Space Telescope Imaging and kinematic/spectroscopic datasets. This is a year-to-year position. Renewal of the position is subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of funding.

The program is expected to last two years (and potentially a third year). The position is expected to commence in the summer or fall of 2020. The appointment may start earlier upon mutual agreement.
