The Center for Quantum Sensors at the Physics Department of Washington University in Saint Louis invites applications for two 2019-2021 Postdoctoral Fellowships in Quantum Sensors and their Application in Fundamental Physics and Astrophysics. The applications require a PhD preferably received not more than three years ago (not counting leaves of absence). The fellowships are awarded to outstanding physicists working on the experimental or theoretical aspects of quantum measurements, quantum sensors, and applications. The objective of the fellowship is to allow the awardee to design and implement their own research projects working independently and in collaboration with other members of the center. The successful candidate can use the center infrastructure, including (in cooperation with the center members) access to four dilution refrigerators, microwave technology for sensor interrogation, and a suite of detector and material fabrication and characterization equipment.
