INAF - Trieste Astronomical Observatory is inviting applications for multiple postdoctoral positions and fellowships in different research topics (galaxy evolution in high redshift galaxy clusters, metal enrichment of the IGM, galaxy formation and evolution models, galaxy and AGN evolution observations, space weather and instrumentation). The duration of the appointments varies bewteen one and two years, with possible extensions subject to performance and fund availability. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact the responsible person for each position for further information.
The area of Trieste offers a rich scientific environment which includes the Universities of Trieste and Udine, the International School for Advanced Studies (SISSA), a department of the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), and the recently established Institute for Fundamental Physics of the Universe (IFPU). It also offers access to supercomputer resources and a range of local computational facilities.
