The Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) seeks to hire a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to work on galaxy clusters and/or AGN feedback. The postdoc will work in the group led by Professor Stephen Walker. The main focus of the position is the analysis of X-ray data (from e.g. XMM-Newton, Chandra and Suzaku, NuStar) and/or SZ data, but candidates with experience in other wavebands are also encouraged to apply.
Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree in Physics or Astronomy, up to 2+ years experience with astronomical software and/or computer programming skills and previous experience in any of the fields above. The position is initially for two years. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
