The high-energy astrophysics research group in the Department of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic, invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in extragalactic high-energy astrophysics. The successful applicant will closely collaborate with the research group of Norbert Werner. The current research of the high-energy astrophysics group includes studies of clusters of galaxies, AGN feedback, Galactic centre, chemical enrichment, and galaxy evolution, as well as the use of nano/micro-satellites for detecting gamma-ray bursts and monitoring the high energy sky. The successful applicant is expected to carry out an independent research program and collaborate with the growing young, international team of researchers at Masaryk University. Candidates with experience in cosmological simulations are encouraged to apply.
The position is for three years. Starting date is negotiable (nominally July of 2022).
