Assistant Project Scientist
Theoretical Astrophysics Center (TAC)
The Theoretical Astrophysics Center (TAC) at the University of California, Berkeley, invites applications for the TAC Assistant Project Scientists, starting in the summer or fall of 2020. These are full time positions. Under supervision of senior faculty, the Project Scientists are expected to carry out independent research on topics of their choosing in theoretical astrophysics, cosmology or planetary science. Applicants are expected to have demonstrated clear research leadership in their field with a demonstrated track record of leading publications and talks at international conferences. In addition to being considered for positions at Berkeley, applicants will also be considered for positions in stellar and time-domain astrophysics joint between Berkeley, Caltech, and KITP.
