Job Description

The Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics (KIAA) at Peking University invites applications for a postdoctoral research appointment. The appointment will be for two years, renewable for a third year subject to a performance evaluation and the availability of funding.

We seek qualified applicants to work with Professors Jing Wang and Ran Wang on science topics related to the gas-star ecosystem of galaxies, using multi-wavelength data in combination with HI image data from the FEASTS (FAST Extended Atlas for Selected Targets Survey, http://kavli.pku.edu.cn/~jwang/FEASTS.html) project. Applicants with experience on observational studies of galaxy evolution, especially expertise in 21 cm HI observation, ALMA or other mm telescope observation, optical and UV spectroscopy, optical imaging, or X-ray data analysis are especially encouraged to apply.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in astronomy, physics, or related fields completed or expected by the effective date, and a demonstrated record of research excellence.
