Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research position at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. The successful applicant will work with Prof. Daniela Calzetti on the investigation of star formation and dust in external galaxies, using imaging data from both space (e.g., HST) and ground-based facilities. Previous experience in the analysis of HST data is desirable, but not necessary. The successful candidate will be able to spend a fraction of their time on independent research projects. The initial appointment is for one year. Renewal for a second and third year is subject to performance and availability of funds. The appointment is expected to start on or around Sept. 1, 2020, and requires the completion of a PhD in Astronomy, Physics, or related field.
