Postdoctoral Positions in Astronomy & Astrophysics

The University of Haifa (UH) and the Tel-Aviv University (TAU) invite applications for joint postdoctoral positions. Applications from all fields of astrophysics and astronomy are encouraged. Prior experience with ground observations and data analysis (e.g., telescope operation, photometry, spectroscopy, time-series analysis, reverberation mapping), or with "gastrophysics" (e.g., the physics of the interstellar and intergalactic media, photoionization, hydrodynamic simulations, radiative transfer) and the physics of AGN, is of particular relevance to this call.

The successful candidates will be offered a competitive scholarship, relocation expenses, computer facilities, and travel funds, and will be encouraged to pursue independent research. They will be expected to contribute to and broaden ongoing research at the aforementioned institutes, and work primarily with Dr. Shai Kaspi (TAU) and Prof. Doron Chelouche (UH) on topics related to the observational and theoretical study of AGN and galaxies over a broad range of scales: from the innermost regions around supermassive black holes and out to circum- and inter-galactic scales.
