Two Assistant Professors at Universidad de Atacama

The Instituto de Astronomía y Ciencias Planetarias (INCT) at Universidad de Atacama (UDA) located in Copiapó, Chile, is offering two assistant professor positions to enthusiastic candidates who are currently working in the fields of planetary science, exoplanets, stellar astrophysics, stellar formation, Galactic or extragalactic astronomy. Successful candidates should be able to teach effectively at postgraduate level (in English) and have a positive attitude towards teamwork aimed at enhancing our institution. A Ph.D. in astronomy or planetary science or closely related area is required and a minimum of 10 publications (Q1 or Q2 in WOS related Astronomy & Astrophysics JCR category) in the last 5 years. Successful applicants will have access to the 10% of time guaranteed to Chilean institutions on all observing facilities based in the country. The INCT offers a competitive salary plus incentives per productivity.
